Magical
This wonderful story follows Sophie, who can only be described as somewhat plain, and her meeting with a mysterious wizard Howl, who seems to have taken a liking to her. This arouses the ire of the wicked witch of the waste who incidentally puts a curse on her, as this curse prevents her from telling anyone she decides to run away. Along the way she comes across a sentient scarecrow that leads her to Howls castle. Further through the story you delve deeper into the dark and mysterious world of Howl and his talking fire Calcifer. This is a beautifully directed film allowing the viewer the chance to connect with all the characters and emerge themselves into this fantasy world. Based on the book written by British writer Diana Wynne Jones, this film does justice to this beautifully written story.
