Creepy Movie, Mysterious Steelbook

This movie is at times very slow, but the sense of unease that persists throughout is unparalleled, even as you start to figure out what is going on, kind of. There are a couple of incredibly disturbing scenes that have nothing to do with gore, the first involving the actions of an alien coldness coming unexpectedly from a human's body, and the second involving the actions of a human coldness coming unexpectedly from a human. I have a new respect for Scarlett Johannson. The steelbook case is understated and evokes the mystery of the movie, although the colors could be a bit more vibrant.

Klean

This steel is most excellent because it really captures the essence of the movie. It seems similar to the slipcover at first glance, but its clean and ethereal look actually go way beyond the slipcover with the colors, depth and lack of unnecessary verbiage. One tip would be that the j-card is rather garish and the shrink wrap glare tends to hide the subtleties of the artwork. This steel is best experienced without the manufacturing wrap on it...

under the skin

Absolutely intriguing film. Keeps waiting until the end. 'what? 'why?.... I would of given this four stars bit i felt maybe a little more could of been done on the back of the steel book. Maybe a shot of the under water skin suit? Would of been a great addition to the already intensely creepy movie

WOW!!!

5 stars don't usually like the steel book design to be the same as the bluray but the art in this case was excellent. Buy now!

Nice steelbook

For a plain steelbook (no embossing or spot gloss) this looks really nice in-hand. It's a lovely clean design, nicely finished, with the already iconic cover art working beautifully without a title. In this case the lack of text seems to be for artistic reasons rather than the cheap Disney/Marvel approach of printing one design for multiple territories. Very suitable for such an enigmatic movie.

Under the skin steelbook

Great quality steelbook for a great film, darkly atmosperic and little dialogue. Scarlett Johannssen is fantastic. Directed by Jonathan Glazer (sexy beast) the film is certainly one off the beaten track. Interesting from a filmmaking perspective. Artwork is great on the steelbook

It got Under my Skin

Went to a screening a couple months ago knowing nothing apart from the synopsis "In alien seductress preys upon the population of Scotland." It sounded cool and I thought it would hopefully be a good, creepy film. …wow…all I can say is how amazingly disturbing and creepy this film is! Johansson is awesome and pulls off a really compelling character with so little dialogue, you can always see her emotions through her face and body language. Really awesome stuff. Glazer's directing is a great mix of art house, real reaction footage and a hint of Kubrick/Lynch to create a really great and somewhat deep film. Sure, its not heavy on plot, but it doesn't have to be and be warned: its not an easy film to sit through. But, if you really want to watch something unique, highly disturbing and well acted, you need to watch Under the Skin. Can't wait for the steel book, really love the poster (got the matching CD and Book to and so far enjoying the book). Oh and the soundtrack is awesome!
