Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) is a rebellious man haunted by the mysterious disappearance of his father; Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges). In 1989 Kevin mysteriously disappeared and left Sam an orphaned boy. He was known as one of the world’s leading video game developers and was CEO of Encom, a leading technology company.
In present day Sam has not given up hope that his father is still alive. When he receives a page from his father’s former place of work he goes looking and finds an old computer. He is transported into a computer generated world where his father has been trapped for 20 years. With the help of his confidant, Quorra (Olivia Wilde), father and son team up to try and get out of the computer world and back to reality. Nice visuals and audio
I bought Tron blu-ray because my friend told me it has top level visuals and soundtrack. I agree with him. The story is not the thing with Tron. Though the casting is great with names like Jeff Bridges and Olivia Wilde.

TRON Legacy... What HD was invented for!!!
Tron Legacy is a fictitious masterpiece full of excellent CGI with a nice plot too. BD Picture quality is perfect and Daft Punk's soundtrack is outstanding on 5.1 surround. If you're an original Tron fan, you will surely like this one, but if like me you just want to watch a good Sci-Fi movie, then give this one a GO and buy it now!

Visually stunning
This film is a breathtaking trip back to the 80s but revisualised and rethought for the modern day. TRON the character of the films title is now a sommersaulting martial artist and the glowing suits really look electric. The only disappointing film is this film looks so stunning if you watch the original now it makes that one from the 80s look so dated! The lightning cast scenery is stunning and the Daft punk soundtrack brings it all to life in the same way John Williams made the star wars films. Film critics have complained its light on story but this is tron not gone with the wind. If you want a visually stunning film with some great sequences and excitement you wont be disappointed. Definately deserves a place in everyones collection. All in all a great film for the big screen and if you have a 3D tv, try getting the 3D version too!!
