Not to be missed!
One of the undervalued gems of Peter Jackson, The Frighteners is a great film. This Blu-ray edition features an impressive sounding DTS-HD 5.1 soundtrack, crisp visuals and both cuts of the movie. (110 as well as 123 minutes) All the bonus features from earlier editions are also included. Highly recommended!

Pack to the rim!
Fantastic Blu-ray release of The Frighteners - always the best price on Zavvi and the beauty of this Blu-Ray is getting both cuts of the film & a 3hour 45minute behind the scenes documentary all on one disc without loss of quality. Super fast delivery as well!

Best version to own for any fan!
Simply fabulous presentation of one of my best loved films. It has both cuts on it including the director's extended cut which this is the first UK release of, and the full length making of doc that clocks in at around 3 hours and is a forerunner to the LOTR's docs. Picture quality is great and the audio also. If you're a fan rest assured this is the version to own

Great looking & sounding Blu!
Peter Jackson's often-overlooking stepping stone between his early New Zealand work and his big-budget Hollywood fare comes to Blu-Ray with a transfer that'll knock your socks off and test your soundsystem to the limit. All manner of low-frequency sounds rattle your room and shake you to your very foundations, along with a pretty damn impressive-looking image. The extras are copious and port over the extensive making-of documentary from the Laserdisc set. The Frighteners is a ridiculously enjoyable romp and it has never looked and sounded better!

THE FRIGHTENERS
Still one of my fave Peter Jackson films before he did Lord of the Rings.Scary, funny and great performances from the whole cast.Fox is excellent, though Jeffrey Combs steals the film as the very unhinged FBI agent.Recommended.
