Directed by Martin Scorsese, The Departed stars Leonardo Di Caprio as Billy, a rookie cop who is assigned to work undercover with Irish mobster Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson) in order to seek enough evidence to arrest him.
Whist Billy is trying to gain Costello's trust, Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon) another rookie who is vastly rising through the ranks of the police himself in the Special Investigations Unit, is also authorised to bring Costello down with other selected officers. Although Colin's chiefs have no knowledge that he is actually working for Costello, which helps him gain an advantage over the law and stay one step ahead.
With both Billy and Colin trying to carry out their objectives, they both end up getting plunged into an exceptionally dangerous game with the highest of goals at stake. With a remarkable cast and some eye catching scenes, it's hardly surprising that this great piece of filmmaking walked away with four Oscars at the 2007 Academy Awards. -T.P

Another classic from Scorcese
Fantastic movie, American remake of Internal Affairs, set in Boston. Beautiful cinematography, from the first shots. Cracking soundtrack, with choice selections from The Rolling Stones.

5 Stars!!
As a big Scorsese and DiCaprio fan I snapped this up as soon as it was released on blu-ray. The conversion is fantastic and makes watching this film even more enjoyable than ever. At less than 8 quid it's a bargain and I would recommend this to anybody!!

Awesome
This is 1 of not only Leo's best, but also the God Father of the gangsta film, Mr Martin himself! Great performances, great script, great film! Oh and the main man 'Big Jack Nic' going well over the top, but having a great time with. A must own!
