The Deer Hunter is an astonishing, powerful and vivid epic about three men, steelworkers from Pennsylvania, whose lives are changed irrevocably in the tragic devastation of the Vietnam War.
When Michael, Steven and Nick are captured by the Vietcong, they are forced to play Russian Roulette by their brutal captors, who make bets on their survival. The experience of capture leaves them with terrible physical and spiritual wounds and when Michael returns to Saigon to fulfil an old vow to one of his friends, he makes an unexpected, horrific discovery.

Buy the digi book
The film is a masterpiece but everyone knows this. I just wanted to say that this steelbook has to be the ugliest package I have seen for almost any film. I bought the slightly overpriced Digi-book even though I think it might be the same disc (Studio Canal) . The "art" on this steelbook looks like it took some bored graphic designer who has clearly never actually seen the film five minutes to knock up on photoshop. A film of this importance really deserves a definitive release, this ugly tin doesn't come close.

Classic!!!One of the greatest movie ever made.The blu ray version is great and I love this Steelbook,the artwork is amazing.The item has been delivered in perfect conditions and within the established times.

This is a really nice steelbook for one of the best movies ever made. I now own both the steelbook and a digibook edition of this move, but as far as outer apperance goes the steelbook is much beter

Deer Hunter
This film is an absolute classic!!! A must for any serious film fan. The Steelbook is stunning, absolutely love the design and the colours used work really well. Probably one of my favourite pieces of artwork on any Steelbook. My only slight criticism is that it's quite a matte finish as apposed to a glossy finish, you have to take serious care when putting next to any other steelbooks in your collection, I scratched mine within first couple of days of owning it gutted!!

Great Purchase
Design is great -- I won't be opening this though as it is a collectible for me. The film is one of my top 5 movies of all time and I have over 100 favourites. This film is essential to any film collector and is a must-watch for new film lovers. Entice yourself and start/improve your collection with this gem.
