If you are a fan of horror then do not hesitate to pick this one up...it belongs in your collection! The transfer along with the soundtrack has been handled beautifully by Arrow video...a huge step up from the dvd( that it also comes with) in my opinion. Also, I can confirm that this release will play in Region A players as well! Grab one while you "steel" can ha! Pun intended!

Excellent Steelbook of an excellent movie. Classical Italian Zombie movie, one of the best ever. And the Steelbook packing is awesome! The picture quality of the blu ray is great, it was time that this movie got sich a release with great artwork Steelbook and great picture Blu ray.

This is absolutely the most beautiful steelbook I own, and I own a few. Not only is the packaging stunning, but the HD picture and features are exceptional.

Zavvi always delights me with their steelbooks and this one is no different..The artwork is amazing on front, back and inside!!..Love it!!..So happy this movie finally got a special edition!!

Of course it won't be a review of the movie itself, everybody already knows how great The Beyond is. Compared to my loved DVD edition from the late french editor Neo Publishing, this edition from Arrow is Beyond my expectations. Beautiful image, clear sound with that old school grain i love. The extras are great, i really liked the interview of Cinzia Monreale, who was able to express the making of the movie and the true characters who was Master Fulci. Great work from Arrow, despite the inevitable lack of french subtitle (i should make recommendations to them directly). The steelbook is also beyond my expectations, the top of my collection. I just love it. Great mat finish, no poor and useless stuff print on the steelbook, just the beautiful cover. Mention spéciale to zavvi, for the awesome despatching work. I got it in less than a week, in a perfect condition, considering the fact that i live in the deep south of France. For you people still hesitating on this steelbook, just buy it already, with your eyes closed. You won't be disappointed.

There is no blu ray version of THE BEYOND here in the US. Seems we're always behind the times on the important stuff. Now that I have the Arrow version of THE BEYOND, I no longer care about a stateside blu ray release. Why should I? The Arrow version is beautiful. I've never bought a steelbook before, and I'm glad I started with this one. The design is over-the-top, much like the movie itself. I get it. THE BEYOND contains so many iconic Horror images, why NOT try to cram them all onto the cover? THE BEYOND has never looked better, and has never sounded so damned creepy. The extras are fun and informative. There are some repeats from past releases, but it's nice to revisit them. If you're a fan, you owe it to yourself to check this out. And if you're a U.S. fan, and you already own the right equipment, this release is worth the extra $$$, believe me.
