This film is stunning on bluray. There has never been a better war film. You are right there with them going through all the emotions. Totally gripping right until the end. A true great!

A Classic
Saving Private Ryan is a great movie from the master. The D-day scene is unforgettable, especially in Blu-ray. There are some scenes which could be left (present day) but it is still a classic movie. The master of the war movies. Thanks to this movie we got Band of brothers and Pacific too.

I first saw this film in the cinema with a friend and got quite emotional at some of the brutaly realistic scenes of war. The opening alone is just incredable. This is arguably the greatest war film ever made and if not then it certainly changed the way war films have been made since just like starwars did for sci-fi. Like so many, Ive been waiting forever for this to be released on blu-ray, and I wasnt disapointed either, the transfer is excellent. All those battle scenes ih Hi-def are awesome in both picture quality and audio. A Tom Hanks Classic, its very moving and a must for any collection
