Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer-and he knows better than anyone that the best scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike's plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, "Sulley" (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer. The pair's out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University's elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right. Screaming with laughter and oozing with heart, Disney Pixar's "Monsters University" is directed by Dan Scanlon ("Cars," "Mater and the Ghostlight," "Tracy"), produced by Kori Rae ("Up," "The Incredibles," "Monsters, Inc.") and features music from future Rock-and-Roll-Hall-of-Fame-inductee and award winning composer Randy Newman ("Monsters, Inc.," "Toy Story 3").

Monsters University 3D
Another wonderful Disney Pixar film, a prequel to monster inc. 3D is great as usual for these Disney films. Great for the whole family. Region Free so it plays in the states! Can't beat the price!

Excellent!!!
I was a bit dubious about a follow up to Monsters Inc after so many years but was pleasantly surprised. Great movie and well worth a watch...

3d is awful
The 3d has some serious ghosting. I have successfully watched a whole variety of 3d films but this one and tangled are too bad to watch. The film is good using the 2d disc.

expected more
The storyline of the movie is rather weak, several years after Monsters Inc I expected an exciting storyline with lots of humor, action , thrill and most of the time this was missing. When you compare this with Despicable me 2 it's running behind, so Pixar could have done better. The artwork is very good. The BR quality fine. 3D beyond the screen, nice depths, creating a real landscape, before the screen, yes there is some popping-out but regarding this movie it could have been a lot more and add an extra dimension to the movie. So general a nice movie for kids and for the fans but not exceptional
