Empire of the Sun is a great 80s movie,moving and heartbreaking,its one to watch and own on this great looking steelbook,I love the movies of the 80s and have some great classic's on Steelbook.

Excellent!

I bought this movie because it was a part of my childhood. The steenbok is amazing, the material is so nice I can't stop touching it. Glossy metallic but also treated with some special paint unlike any other steenbok I own which makes it unique. The making of the movie was also nice to watch. If you love this movie you will love it even more with this awesome steelbook. Recommend!

Incredibly Gorgeous Steelbook

This breathtaking steelbook commemorating the harrowing tale of a boy's survival in a prison camp has incredibly vibrant colors and excellent, evocative coverart and inside art. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous Steelbook for a classic film

The rich orange-gold color of this Steelbook makes it shine on the shelf. A wonderful film like Empire of the Sun deserves such a presence.

Empire of the Sun

One of my all time favourites. Based on a true story and starring a young Chritian Bale this film is one of Spielbergs best. Shows yet another side of war. This time via a child growing up in a camp but not of the Jewish kind this time. A tough watch every time. Has dated very well and bluray provides a clean clear picture with no defects. Great solid performances from all the cast. I think it helps the film that there is no C.G.I. not only because there was none available at the time but also because it seems to have allowed a more natural filming style which seems less common nowadays. The steelbook adds that little something extra with lovely strong colours on the outside but then has a greyed image inside providing a great contrast. Would recommend if you're interested in history or serious films that don't treat the audience like idiots.

Superb acting must see.

This really was a class piece of acting, especially from the main cast, but the acting from Gareth Bale making his debut, really gripped me personally it was so convincing and gave the movie real credibility a very enjoyable movie all round and one definitely you must have in your collection, it was another brilliant performance from John Malkavitch excuse my spelling? I would definitely recommend this movie to everyone well worth seeing and deserves without question the praise heaped apon it so go on take a look and you will not be disappointed 10/10, hope this is helpful to anyone not quite sure of what to watch you can not go wrong with this.
