The six-part adventure takes place immediately after the first regeneration, as the Time Lord and his companions, Polly (Anneke Wills) and Ben (Michael Craze), do battle with an old foe on the mysterious planet Vulcan. How will Polly and Ben cope with a new Doctor? How will the Doctor take to his new body? And how will they ever overcome the power of the Daleks?

Best Case Design
While I only just opened it and haven't yet had a chance to watch the blu rays, I wanted to comment on the cardboard case design. This is, by far, the absolute best design! On all my other steelbooks I have to remove the back panel to see the whole artwork design on the steelbook, then it gets filed away with all the others. Thing is, I actually like the information on the back panel for a quick reference. This design rocks! I can keep the steelbook and the back panel info together and still be able to slide the book out to show friends. But, what I really like the best, is the front only covers about one-fourth of the bottom, so you can still really see the front of the actual book. Thanks Zavvi! (Going four stars as I have not actually watched the blu rays.)

LOVE IT!!!
I would much prefer to see the original rather than an animated version, however that might never happen if either it has been destroyed, found but unable to reconstruct, or simply still hiding! So this is the next best thing! First episode is a little slow but hey, the Dr's just regenerated and we're all trying to get round it. But when the action kicks in, it's pretty awesome! I try to avoid listening to the missing audios and reading those books if they do happen to show up because it is like you're watching a brand new Who story. I've only watched the B&W version of the Power. I will do colour but you gotta keep with tradition and the Steelbook is a wonderful piece added to my DVD / Bluray collection!! Don't criticise, but I really want The Space Pirates constructed next. The reason for this is because I want to bridge the gap so I can watch everything in order from Wheel in Space e.6 - todays episodes. Also, it's voted the second worst story (well, it did in the first DWM Voting Poll). Is it really that bad? Underwater Menace was worse than that singular episode. The Enemy of the World wasn't voted great either but that got bumped up hugely after it was discovered. So bring on more little gems I'd say!!
