One of the First
I think this is one of the first Steelbooks the BBC released for Doctor Who and they did a great job with it. The Steelbook is very no frills, you don't get any booklet, artwork or anything apart from the disc and a J Card, but the disc is brilliant! If you didn't know this already, Spearhead from Space was shot on Film rather than tapes so it's the best quality episode of the classic series there is, I'm sure it still took a bit to get the picture looking so well because film doesn't last forever, especially with what they were working with back then.

Dr Who, Spearhead steelbook
Beautiful steelbook! Glossed finish, no text on the front or back - just images, which i personally prefer........makes it look more like an artists picture (obviously the spine has the title). Haven't watched this yet but will do soon, as i remember Pertwee as one of the best Doctors ( if not THE best) in the series. Another unique looking steelbook from Zavvi........NICE!!

One of the Best
Spearhead from Space combines a great doctor, companion and villain all into one story. The blu-ray release increases the enjoyment of it further, and the exclusive special features are a nice bonus. Overall, a classic Doctor Who episode that should be purchased by/for any fan of the show. Zavvi: Good customer service, as well as quick dispatch and delivery.

Great Doctor Who Steel
The limited number make it a must-have for any Doctor Who fan who happens to love steelbooks, but it really is gorgeous in its own right too. Great to look at, I'd hesitate to call it minimalist but it looks like a product that houses a classic. Great image of the Third Doctor on the inside too. Definitely a great purchase, would highly recommend. Would love to see more Doctor Who steels too.

Nice Steelbook treatment
Region Free and without all the advertising of the American version. Nice extras on Caroline John and Jon Pertwee. Steelbook case itself is a work of art. The story lays down the template for early 3rd Doctor adventures with the Doctor exiled to Earth and the menace coming to him. Employment by UNIT (United Nations Intelligence Taskforce) serving as the backdrop. (This was before the U.N. requested they NOT be named.) In my opinion, this story served as a shell for the 2005 reboot; Autons invading earth and the first few seconds of the camera panning to Earth, serving as Russel T. Davies' inspiration for signature pan to Earth with the long zoom in to somewhere in London. It's really a shame that all stories can't get this treatment. (I think I just heard my bank account give an audible sign of relief!)
