Eraserhead
Newly remastered by David Lynch himself for this 35th Anniversary release, his feature-film debut is a masterpiece of the macabre and grotesque. Eraserhead follows a sensitive young man as he struggles to cope with impending parenthood. Henry Spencer (Jack Nance) lives in a hopeless industrial landscape, lusting after the beautiful woman who lives in the apartment across the hall.
Five years in the making, Eraserhead contains all of the trademark attributes of a Lynch film - haunting visuals, an ethereal score, unsettling sound design, and, most notably, a black sense of humour - creating a world onscreen that is exhilarating, terrifying, and truly unique.

After reporting his discovery to a local police detective, Jeffrey decides to pursue his own line of enquiry, aided by the detective’s daughter, Sandy (Laura Dern).
This sets Jeffrey on a voyage of discovery that takes him to the very heart of Lumberton’s seedy and sinister underworld where he encounters a collection of misfits whose various chronic compulsions threaten to engulf him in their twisted and nightmarish world.

A Red Room, white "lines", a high school girl in ankle socks who ends up incinerating her life away.
This is the world of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. The last seven days of Laura Palmer.
Lost Highway
Haunting sexuality, ricochet action and fleeting, murderous shadows await you on a journey that begins and ends on the Lost Highway. The successful jazz musician whose marriage is on the rocks... Befitting of a genius.
When this box set was first released it was plagued with issues, so I bought this with some trepidation. There was no need to worry, as it all plays with no glitches. The discs are beautifully presented within the fold out box. I wont go in to the content of the discs, because it can be found elsewhere and if you are a Lynch fan you know what you are getting. If you haven't seen any Lynch movies before, at this price you would be mad not to buy it. If you like the films within the set make sure you watch The Elephant Man and my favourite film of all time Mulholland Drive. As I said earlier a beautifully presented box set befitting of a genius.

Acquired taste
Really enjoyed this boxset, some of the films I feel haven't polished up too great through Blu ray (lost highway still looks DVD to me), but others have really benefitted like Eraserhead remastered. Personally I would have liked to have seen mulholland drive included rather that the twin peaks movie, but overall a really good boxset if you can handle the Lynch style of filmmaking.
