A New Wii Console Experience:
According to Nintendo President Satoru Iwata, "Wii U redefines the structure of home entertainment by fundamentally changing how the TV, the game console and the Internet function and interact together", he continues, "The experience enabled by Wii U and its new controller takes players deeper into their games, while reaching out wider than ever before to be inviting to all kinds of gamers".
Wii U combines motion-sensing gameplay with the ability to support full HD graphics. Each Wii U console will be paired with a new groundbreaking controller, with its 6.2-inch wide screen. Previously, video games played on home consoles have been confined to the TV and offered identical viewpoints to each player in a multiplayer environment. The Wii U controller enhances that experience with different viewpoints available in-game and in differing games/game situations. Also, watching TV and playing console games have been completely separate experiences. The new controller removes these boundaries, creating a more dynamic and fluid gaming and entertainment experience.
Within Single Player Games:
While in-game, the new controller can display information on its screen that does not appear on the TV. The information and viewpoint can also change in the new controller based on the orientation of its gyroscope.
Within Multiplayer Games:
The player using the new controller can have a different experience than those looking at the TV creating a wider variety of competitive and cooperative opportunities.
The New Controller:
In addition to its 6.2-inch screen, the new controller also features an accelerometer and a gyroscope, a rumble feature, an inward-facing camera, a microphone and speakers. Adding these features to the Classic Controller button scheme -- two analogue Circle Pads, +Control Pad, A/B/X/Y buttons, L/R buttons and ZL/ZR buttons -- will enable a breadth of gameplay experiences while appealing to both casual and dedicated video game players. The Wii U system can also use up to four additional Wii Remote or Wii Remote Plus controllers and is backward compatible to all Wii games and all Wii accessories. The Wii console has sold more than 86 million units globally and greatly expanded the overall audience for video games. Wii U aims to expand that audience even further.

Very happy with my purchase
The Wii U Console: 32GB ZombiU Premium Pack is great. It is sleek and black, and sits perfectly with my other devices. It also feels very solid and well made, unlike the Wii, which I felt creaked too much when moved. From what I have seen, it is more than capable of, at the very least, holding its own against the PS3 and the Xbox 360 graphically, too. The same can be said for the GamePad. I don't find it as comfortable to hold as a lot of people seem to, but it is not uncomfortable, and I can play with it for several hours without any trouble. It's black surface is a magnet for fingerprints, though, so be prepared to wipe them off regularly. The screen is crisp and clear, and the buttons are very responsive. It does not have pressure-sensitive triggers, though, which is a let-down. ZombiU is a flawed, but generally rather good game. Don't expect a run and gun, Call of Duty style action game, though. It's a slow-paced, true survival horror game. Consider that last part very carefully before you buy, as the game seems to be quite hit-and-miss amongst players. The pro controller that comes with this bundle is fantastic! It easily beats out the Gamecube and the Xbox 360 controllers as the most comfortable ever in my opinion. One thing to bear in mind is that it does not have a headphone jack, so you won't be able to plug a headset into this controller. Overall, it's an excellent machine.

Wii U ZombiU Premium Bundle
My girlfriend bought this Wii U Console: 32GB ZombiU Premium Pack as a present and I'm delighted. I'm loving the Wii U and both Nintendoland and ZombiU, in fact I'm typing this review on the Wii U browser, another fantastic and useful function. Great price, thanks Zavvi and I'd recommend to anyone looking for a Wii U or any other gaming consoles or games.

Wii U
The Wii U is the latest console from Nintendo and brings them bang up to date with the current Xbox 360 and PS3. However the Gamepad controller is a unique addition to gaming and brings totally new experiences, if you love Nintendo, you'll love Wii U.

Good, but more effort needed
Nintendo games in HD at last! The ZombiU pack is the best value for money, if you can find it; 32Gb, various stands and a pro controller, and a HDMI cable is included as standard for all bundles. The tablet controller offers so much potential and is ergonomic and comfortable to hold, perfect in my lap, and I can access the internet and control my TV through it! For those who worry about complainers saying it rattles, don't be concerned, it's not badly built, it's just the various motion sensors and gyroscopes inside. Everything about the Wii U is as well built as you would expect from a Nintendo product; there's no cheap disc tray or wind tunnel roaring ala my Xbox 360. Miiverse is fantastic, welcoming and friendly, unlike the isolating experience of Xbox Live where you face abusive behavior from anonymous immature users. There are faults e.g. long updates (took me a while to work out the timer wasn't minutes and seconds but hours and minutes!), lack of voice chat (I like to talk to my friends during games), long menu load times. Hopefully some of this can be fixed by future updates but it's not the end of the world. ZombiU is much the same. Personally, I think it's a fantastic launch game for the Wii U and compliments it well. It's also innovative and unique, not to mention tense and challenging. It may lack graphical polish and certain gameplay elements may have needed extra work and polish but hey, it's a launch game. I'll take this over another FPS, driving or play as a gangster/assassin game any time. I highly recommend that everyone try it, it's great fun and you may even see your friends in it when they get zombified, where you get to bash them in the head, purloin their gear (they won't be needing it!), and send them a message to say 'thanks'. All in all, a very refreshing package for a jaded gamer!

Next-Gen has begun, but is it progress?
Premium Console: An interesting release from Nintendo but don't expect the visuals and sound to blow you away as it's barely even as powerful as the seven-year-old Xbox 360 console. In fact the only real advantage it has over the 360 is that it uses half the power of the 360s, and you can use your own external USB2 hard disks with it. In fact, there are more cons to pros for the Wii U: 1. It's expensive for what it is (a slow console with a cheap tablet). 2. The tablet controller uses very old resistive technology designed for use with a stylus, and the battery life is only about 3 hours. 3. It can't play DVD or BD, even though it uses a BD drive (Nintendo didn't want to pay for the video playback licence as usual). 4. Some of the features aren't even active yet, e.g. TVii. 5. Online eStore purchases are tied to the console, not your Nintendo account. If you sell your console or it breaks you've lost all your downloaded game purchases. 6. It's region locked, like the 3DS. 7. No ethernet port, like the Wii. On top of that the console is effectively crippled unless you're online (wi-fi only) as there is a massive update to install as soon as you turn it on which even on fibre broadband takes many hours. If you're buying this console as a Christmas present you'll be very wise to update it in advance of the day or you're going to be causing frustration. Having said that though, everyone said the DS would fail and look at how successful that was over the more powerful PSP. And everyone said the Wii would fail and it sold more than the 360 and PS3 combined, even though that too was effectively last-gen tech. Zombi U: In my opinion the best release title for Wii U assuming you're over 18. It's tough, it's scary, it makes excellent use of the new tablet controller (it uses every single feature on it other than NFC - screen, motion, buttons, webcam). The game has local multiplayer as well as linking with the single-player game of your friends (dead friends show up as zombies in your game).

Amazing
The Wii U Console: 32GB ZombiU Premium Pack is an amazing console which is worth every penny. It allows users to interact with games in a way that they have never done so before, thanks to the Wii U game pad. This is unique in that it allows users to use the main TV and the controller at the same time to play, which essentially means that two screens are being used. Not only this, but if the TV is off or being used by someone else the user can simply switch to the game pad and keep playing. The premium edition comes with ZombiU, which is an amazing survival horror game. This game is unique, in that if you die once the character remains dead forever, and the player must control another survivor who now has no weapons or equipment. Also in the premium pack is the Pro controller which allows users to have multiple ways of playing the console.

Excellent party console
The Wii U Console is a hell of a lot of fun at parties. Zombie U is very underrated by critics, as whilst it is not the best of games, it does wonders for the survival horror genre. All in all, it'll have a long life for Nintendo fans.

Wii U Zombi U Pack
Buy it if you like Nintendo games, it's as simple as that. The hardware is fine but you'll be hard pressed to find five killer titles at launch, it may well be worth waiting until January - March when the big hitters emerge. It's great with Nintendo Land and is sure to be a hit at most people's parties,

Best Purchase Ever!
What can I say about this console except WOW! I already own a Wii and was a little bit worried that this one might just be a Wii with a bit more power but how wrong was I! Everything about this console excites me, from the truly original and innovative game-pad, to it's ability to also play all of my old Wii games. For anyone who says Wii-U's are for children only, think again. I bought the Zombie-U bundle and I totally chose the best bundle. Zombie-U is exactly how a survival horror should be. It's all about survival and, although you do get to use guns, you'd better make the few bullets you have count or you will be joining the undead in no time at all! All in all I couldn't be happier with my new console and the store I bought it from.
