Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition for the Nintendo 3DS is the heavily anticipated and revolutionised addition to the iconic Street Fighter legacy. This game retains enough of the original features and game play that made it one of the best fighting games to begin with, and yet feels even more advanced and accessible now it's been completely revamped for the 3DS.
This game features a wide range of thirty five characters, with both familiar and other lesser-known faces from the Street Fighter saga. Ten uncommon fighters (Juri and Hakan being exclusive to this release) appear next to legendary characters such as Ryu, Chun-Li, and many more, each with their own alternative costumes. The fighting style for this game has been completely overhauled, allowing the full use of all six buttons on the console to release devastating combos on your opponent. Signature moves are also under your control, as each character has two different fighting styles for you to choose from, each with their own style specific moves and special attacks. Fighting is made more intense through the use of both screens on the 3DS, with your ultra-combos logged on the touch screen, so a quick press on the bottom screen initiates an incredibly brutal attack that will decimate your opponent.
The Arcade Mode in this game holds more power than it did previously, as all the characters are unlocked from the get go, yet still makes for enthralling and entertaining gameplay. This mode changes accordingly depending on which character you play, giving them their own personal rivals and cinematic sequences. Thrown into Arcade Mode are two fun side missions; Pound My Ride, where you have to completely destroy a stationary car to earn points, and if you do so within the time limit you automatically earn a perfect. There is also Barrel Buster, where the same rules apply, but with added difficulty.
This more modernised Super Street Fighter has completely overhauled online playing, even allowing you to turn on the fight request system to give others around the world the chance to engage you in a duel. Two point systems are now in place; Player points are earned when you defeat a quarry, yet are lost when you yourself are defeated, and Battle points are allocated to specific characters. This allows you to gain points for both your overall fighting skills, and how good your best player is, with these points being put into a ranking system on an online leaderboard that can be viewed around the world. Must have for 3DS or SF fan!
Having played Street Fighter II a long time ago on the SNES (Super Famicom), I was eager to give the new series a try. Last year I bought the game for the PlayStation3 and was blown away by the graphics, gameplay and old-fashioned fun that this title brings. Since I wanted to get some nice games for my 3DS when I want to game on the go. I decided to buy Street Fighter for this platform as well. I expected it to be a lot simpler than his bigger brother, but hopefully still a lot of fun. For the price on Zavvi, it was worth trying! How wrong was I, expecting it to be simpler. The graphics are just as awesome on the 3DS, maybe even better due to the 3D effect. There are more fighters and the gameplay is just as good. Even the multiplayer works very well. If you have already tried this game on another platform, this will be a nice addition to play on the go. If you haven't tried Street Fighter IV yet, shame on you! You should buy it directly and this 3DS version won't disappoint you. This is a fully equiped Street Fighter and one of the best games on the 3DS.

Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition (3DS)
Playing Super Street Fighter IV on 3DS is almost like playing the console version of this game every minute I spend on this. With the 3DS controls being a bit closer along with the touch screen being used to pull off finishers, it makes the game a lot more fun and easier than breaking your fingers pulling off near impossible moves.

Excellent Game!
Street Fighter really is the ultimate fighting game right now for the 3DS in my opinion. It will keep you busy for a long time, because it is very hard to master the combos and get all titles. Also, the online is very good and you can also use download play to play with someone who hasnt purchased the game via streetpass. All in all this is a very good game and I would recommend it, especially if this is your first and you dont want to spend too much money.

Very good fighting game
Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition is the game that I was waiting months for. I really wanted a handheld fighting game. The moves are awsome, the 3D grafics are the best and the controls and buttons are so user friendly. In multiplayer I'm finding it takes 30-40 mins a fight and no lags. Guys you must buy it NOW!!!!

Best street fighters game on handheld
One of the best 3DS games I've played. Not just a simple port from the console version. It's a pure remake speically design for 3DS. Online play is fun and lag free. Highly recommend for all 3DS owners.

Great title, though not perfect
The adaption of Super Street Fighter IV surely is very impressive, both in terms of graphics as well as in terms of playability. However, due to the 3DS' button layout, the playability cannot be as good as with an arcade stick or even a proper gamepad. Nevertheless, the 3D-effect is subtle but nice and there are numerous modes, characters and online play (though a bit laggy at times). Highly recommended.
